Sew a variety of soft toys such as stuffed animals and cloth dolls. Make items for your doggie such as clothes, toys, and dog beds. Browse a collection of easy sewing project for beginners. And browse a variety of projects to help you answer that age old question of what to do with your stash of quilting pre-cuts (charm packs, jelly rolls, and fat quarters) or what to do with of those fabric scraps you've been saving that were leftover from other projects.
And since some of these projects use quilting pre-cuts, you might find the following tips helpful: If you want to be able to launder your finished sewing project, you may want to prewash your fabric pieces to prevent shrinking of your finished project and to wash out any excess dye or sizing that was applied to the fabric. However, some believe prewashing isn't necessary as long as you purchase high quality fabric. If you do decide to prewash your fabric pieces, it's a good idea to place them in a laundry bag to keep them together and to prevent tangling of the fabric pieces.
And since some of these projects are quite small and require cutting small pattern pieces, you may find the following tip helpful: Consider cutting your pattern pieces from a lightweight cardboard instead of paper. And instead of pinning your pattern pieces to your fabric as you normally would, place the cardboard pattens unattached onto your fabric and trace around them to make your cutting lines.
